John Estadt
Of Counsel
Born and raised in the small idyllic town of Caldwell, Ohio, John Estadt grew up learning the values that all Ohioans share - family, common sense and hard work. He learned firsthand from his grandfather, Joseph Estadt, who was a German immigrant, and the town blacksmith, the importance of hard work. As a young man, his father, a funeral director of over fifty (50) years, inspired his belief in honest public service through his unflagging compassion and desire to help those less fortunate. More than anything, it is his family and the values he learned growing up among the hardworking men and women of Southeast Ohio that define who John Estadt is and the dedicated and honest attorney he strives to be. John Estadt attended Kent State University in 1968. In 1972, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in History. John then became the Belmont County Extension Agent for 4-H. He also, at that time, attended The Ohio State University and received a Master of Science degree majoring in Agricultural Education in 1979. Upon graduating from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1983, he returned to practice law in Caldwell, Ohio before moving on and joining the law firm of Kinder, Kinder and Hanlon in St. Clairsville, Ohio in 1984. Shortly thereafter, John left the Kinder law firm to go with the law firm of Hanlon, Duff and Paleudis Co., LPA. where he became a founding partner and managing attorney of the law firm Hanlon, Estadt, McCormich & Schramm Co LPA. John is a member of The United States Tax Court. Additionally, John is a Member of the Bar of the United States Supreme Court. John is a past Exulted Ruler and Trustee of Barnesville Elks Lodge No. 1699, former Board Member and Chairman of Belmont County Family Planning, a past member of Belmont County Park Board District NO. 2 (James Carnes Center).
